A five-letter word-guessing puzzle you can play again and again. Guess the secret word in six tries — after every guess, each tile lights up green for the right letter in the right spot, amber for the right letter in the wrong spot, and gray for a letter that isn’t in the word at all.
How to Play Word Guess
Type a five-letter word and press Enter, or tap the on-screen keyboard. Backspace deletes the last letter.
- Open with a word that uses several common letters and at least two vowels — it rules out (or confirms) more than a guess packed with rare letters.
- Amber doesn't mean wrong — it means the letter is in the word, just not there yet. Keep it in your next guess, just try another spot.
- Watch the on-screen keyboard's colors so you don't waste a guess repeating a gray letter you've already ruled out.
