Breakout
Move to steer, tap to launch
Breakout
The classic brick-smashing arcade game. Steer the paddle to keep the ball in play and clear every brick — each level clears the board and speeds the ball up, so how far can you go before you run out of lives?
How to Play Breakout
Arrow keys or A/D move the paddle (drag with mouse or touch). Space or Enter launches the ball.
- Hit the ball with the edge of the paddle instead of dead center to angle it at bricks you're not directly under.
- Get in front of where the ball is heading rather than chasing it — a last-second lunge into the corner often misses entirely.
- From level 3 on, the top rows are reinforced and take a couple of hits — their color fades as they take damage, so you can see how close they are to breaking.
